Anti-Aging Conference Takes a Bite Out of Time

Date April 1, 2009

Aging will always be an issue in the circle of life.

Aging will always be an issue in the circle of life.

The simple mention of an Anti-Aging Conference in 1959 would lead many to believe that this was the perfect topic for an April Fools Day.

But a half-century, and thousands of advances in care and treatment later, and the idea of retarding the aging process is no longer the stuff of pranksters and con men.

Join me and over 80 other guest speakers at the 17th Annual World Congress on Anti-Aging Medicine, April 23 – 25, 2009 in Orlando, Florida.

Here’s why I’ll be there–and why I think you should be, too…

Today as the average age of many nations around the globe–including right here in the US–is climbing quickly. With the passing of every year there is increasing interest in two areas of study; first, to slow the ravages of time; and next, to reverse the aging process all together.

I suspect that the stuff of fantasies in 1959, and real possibility in 2009, will be the commonplace in 2059.

That doesn’t mean that, fifty years from now, a person age 80 will drink a potion and wake-up the next morning with the body of a thirty year old. But it may very well be the case that age eighty is the more common age to contemplate retirement and no one is considered very old until they are well passed the age of one hundred.

Today more doctors are approaching healthcare with an alternative perspective.  They recognize that many prescribed drugs have side effects that accelerate the aging process.  A variety of speakers at the event will be addressing this subject.

At the conference I’ll be talking about the impact of healthy, happy relationships on the process of anti aging.  If you and your life partner want to live longer lives, you need to give ongoing attention to the quality of your relationships.  One study after another indicates that married individuals have less disease and live longer. When you have a loving relationship, it can be enormous reliever of stress in your life. Anxiety can cause a host of life-shortening conditions to gain a foothold in your life. Heart disease, certain forms of cancer, depression, chronic digestive issues, and much more.

This is an important issue that I deal with in Why Mars & Venus Collide. We’re all aware that we live in a world of high speed and high pressure. Knowing how to have a happy relationship can reduce stress significantly and therefore enhance your life.

During the conference I will also discuss the research that created the basis for another one of my books, The Mars & Venus Diet & Exercise Solution. Here I discuss the importance of supper minerals that help our bodies to create dopamine, and serotonin allowing us to more efficiently lower that age-inducing stress hormone cortisol.

If men are continually challenged, as a rule they tend to stay young. While for women, friendships, and working collaboratively with others, increases her production of oxytocin, which for women is the ultimate anti aging hormone.

The science of Anti-Aging Medicine is a dynamic multi-disciplinary field with advances occurring weekly in the fields of biochemistry, biology, and physiology. The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, A4M, has trained over 70,000 new physicians in its hands-on scientific, clinical and academic programs. A4M began its mission in 1992 with just 12 physicians and has now grown into a worldwide international medical society with representation in over 100 nations.
